The Reading Lab provides resources intended to help students develop their reading skills:

• an online reading assignment chosen, monitored, and assessed by the teacher to supplement classroom instruction.
• tutor assistance with the program students use to complete the assignment.

The Writing Lab is supplemental to IVC's writing program and is intended to help students develop their writing skills by providing:

• twenty-five-minute appointments with writing tutors to review writing assignments and address key issues in the
• student's writing that need improvement (not a correction service).
• workshops on the various elements of the writing process, conducted by writing faculty and/or writing tutors.

The Language Lab is part of IVC's ESL and language programs and is intended to help students in language acquisition by providing:

• language software programs that ESL and language instructors may incorporate as part of class requirements.
• tutor assistance with computers and the software programs.
