Credit by Exam (CBE) allows students enrolled in articulated high school courses to complete a comprehensive exam for college credit.  Students must satisfactorily pass both the exam and their high school course to receive college credit.  The process of earning credit at IVC is available only during the Fall semester.   A detailed explanation of the steps required to process credit is included in the Student Resources.  Credit by Exam is a great way to jump start earning your technical degree or certificate program at Imperial Valley College, and in many subject areas lead you directly into the corresponding University program.
