Steven M. Taylor was elected to the Imperial Community College District Board of Trustees for Area 7.  He took office on December 15, 2010. His experience is as follows:

• Employed at Mesquite Gold Mine for 14 years as an EMT/Mechanic
• Employed at Bard Water District for 3 years as a Ditch Rider
• Employed at San Pasqual Valley Unified School District for 4 years as a Mechanic/Bus Driver
• Retired Fire Chief, Winterhaven Fire Protection District, Servied 17 years, Retired August 2015
• Served as Fire Commissioner for the Winterhaven Fire Protection District for 3 years
• Member of the Hidalgo Society for the last 20 years
• Member of Yuma County Fire Officer Association for the last 5 years
• Honorary Member of the Imperial County Fire Chief's Association for the last 9 years
• Honorary Firefighter for the Mexicali Fire Department
• Nominated for Governor's Medal of Valor, March 2007
