| With the considerable talents of dedicated faculty and staff, the Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Division at Imperial Valley College has provided excellence in education and services to our community. The faculty members are highly qualified within their specific field of study. Many faculty have doctorates, have published papers in scholarly journals, and have years of training in their areas of expertise. |
The division offers 7 Associate Science Degree programs in Agriculture Science, Computer Science, General Science, Life Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, and Pre-Engineering. The division also offers 71 transfer courses in the areas of Agriculture Science, Astronomy, Biological Science, Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Mathematics, Physical Science and Physics, as well as personal enrichment classes for life long learning. Classes are offered both on campus and at the extended campuses. |
The Math Lab and the Science Lab are open to the students. The Instructional Specialist and tutors in the Math Lab assist math students with assignments from both traditional classroom sections and computer-assisted instruction. The Open Lab sessions in the Science Lab provide options for the students to come and review the lab materials presented in the lab classes. |
