COMMUNITY SERVICE COURSES
Community Service Courses at IVC are short term, fee based courses in areas of public interest. These courses are open to the entire community and are entirely supported by student fees. IVC reserves the right to cancel courses due to low enrollment with full reimbursment.
How do I register?
You may register on-line.Registration continues throughout the semester on a first-come, first-served basis. Many classes fill quickly, so register early to avoid disappointment.
If you wait until the first day of class, you run the risk of the class either being full or being canceled and not knowing about the cancellation.
How do I pay for my class?
Once you register for a Community Service course, you have 2 weeks before the class begins to pay for your class. You may mail your check or stop by at any of the Extended Campus locations to drop off your payment. We accept all major credit cards & debit cards.
Do I have to pay for a parking pass?
If your class meets at the IVC Main Campus, you will need to purchase a parking pass. Day passes are only $1 per day. Full term passes are $20. The passes are available at the parking office, main campus. Parking permits are waived on Saturday and Sundays.
Where do I pay for my classes? Students may pay for classes at any of the Extended Campus locations. Click here for locations
New Workshops and Prospective Teachers
CS is always seeking new and innovative programming. Our goal is to provide unique, challenging workshops. Please contact Rosanna Lugo, at 760-353-0490 if you have any questions, would like to discuss your ideas, or need assistance in completing the Workshop Proposal form. Interested persons who have teaching experience (teaching credential is NOT required), expertise in a field, and a passion for working with the community are encouraged to submit a Workshop Proposal.
Parents, students and the public are encouraged to make suggestions for future class programming. Your ideas are useful in assessing the needs of students in our community.
