Steven M. Taylor was elected to the Imperial Community College District Board of Trustees for Area 7, encompassing the San Pasqual Unified School District on November 2, 2010 and took office on December 15, 2010. His experience is as follows:

·         Has lived in Winterhaven since 1989

·         Graduated from Kofa High School, Yuma, Arizona

·         Attended Mesa Community College, Studied General Education

·         Attended Arizona Western College, Studied Automotive Technology

·         Attended Imperial Valley College, received EMT Certification

·         Employed at Mesquite Gold Mine for 14 years as an EMT/Mechanic

·         Employed at Bard Water District for 3 years as a Ditch Rider

·         Employed at San Pasqual Valley Unified School District for 4 years as a Mechanic/Bus Driver 

·         Presently Employed at Winterhaven Fire Protection District for 14 years as Fire Chief

·         Served as Fire Commissioner for the Winterhaven Fire Protection District for 3 years

·         Member of the Hidalgo Society for the last 15 years

·         Member of Yuma County Fire Officer Association for the last 2 years

·         Member of the Imperial County Fire Chief’s Association for the last 6 years

·         Honorary Firefighter for the Mexicali Fire Department
