Why pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science?

 
The Growing Technology Industry
The rapid spread of computers and information technology has generated a tremendous need for highly trained workers in the technology field. Of the ten fastest growing occupations in this decade, the U.S. Department of Labor states that eight are computer related. 
 
The Proper Preparation for Success
Rapidly changing technology requires an increasing level of skill and education on the part of employees. Companies look for professionals with a broad background and range of skills. A degree in Computer Science provides graduates with the most wide ranging career opportunities within the technology field.

According to the National Association of Colleges and Employers, starting job offers for computer science graduates with a bachelor’s degree in 2005 averaged $50,820. Computer Science graduates commanded the highest salaries of all first time employees in the technology industry.
