Upward Bound (UB) is a federally-funded TRiO program. UB was established to help high school students overcome class, social, academic, and cultural barriers to higher education. The programs primary goal is to help students prepare for college and continue enrollment towards successful graduation. Employment applicants must be a successful college student or professional, and must be flexible, patient and sensitive to the specific needs of the UB student population.

School Year Employment
Employment during the regular school year involves further tracking and motivation of Upward Bound Students. Tutoring sites are developed and maintained at each of the seven schools which the program services. Upward Bound employees are considered liaisons to the schools, administration, and parents therefore great communication skills are a must. Some of the positions that are hired for the school year are:
