Nursing Learning Center & Computer Lab
NURS 089
The Nursing Learning Center (NLC), located in the 2100 building, Room 2158, is a combination of skills labs, computer lab and study area. The NLC is staffed with Nursing Instructor tutors and one Nursing Simulations and Computer Lab Technician.
Students enrolled in the IVC Nursing Program can enroll in NURS 089 to utilize the services of the NLC. This is a 1-unit lab class and 54 hours are required to obtain credit. The NLC is also open to students enrolled in other Allied Health Programs and recent nursing graduates preparing for the NCLEX exam. The tutorial center has textbooks and materials that can be used in the study area and computer-assisted instruction materials are available in the computer lab.
Some of the Nursing labs house high-tech manikins in a realistic hospital setting to prepare students for simulations and required skills.
