No add requests will be taken until the first day of classes by email only.
There is NO on-campus orientation for the online history classes. On the First Day of classes, go to the IVC Distance Education website and read the instructions for logging in to the Etudes course management system. Remember, you must use your Student Identification number which starts with a G, not your social security number for log-in purposes. Then LOG IN to Etudes. If you have problems logging in, contact the Student Help Desk at 760-259-3419.
The first thing to do is to watch the video orientation. Click the link below to view the video. This video will explain how the class will work and what you can expect. Then log into Etudes, click on the course tab for the History class and review the announcements and other course materials. Another link to the video orientation is located under the Syllabus tool inside Etudes.
If you have never used Etudes before and can’t figure it out, you can get training through the help desk.

There will be on-campus exams and there will be no makeups allowed, so if you can't make the test date(s) indicated, you should not enroll in the class. Please check the Course Syllabus for these dates.
If you do not log on and complete Module 1 by the first deadline, you will be dropped from the course. If you are adding the course, you must register immediately after receiving the add code from the instructor (by email). It will take at least 24 hours after you add the class before you will be able to log in to Etudes, so don’t wait or you will get behind in the course work.
