Project ACCESO is dedicated to online student success.

Whether you want to take courses for self-development, complete work toward a vocational certificate, work toward an Associate degree, or transfer to a four-year university, our Learning Support Specialist (Counselor) is available to help you develop a plan to reach your goals.

Our Learning Support Specialist (Counselor) can help with:

  1. Choosing a major for an Associate degree
  2. Transferring to a four-year university
  3. Developing an educational plan
  4. Course selection
  5. Career research and testing options
  6. Referrals to services and programs
  7. Counseling for personal and school-related problems
  8. Study skills

There are three ways to meet with the Project ACCESO, Learning Support Specialist:

Walk-in Counseling

Talk to the Learning Support Specialist or any IVC counselor on a first-come, first-served basis during designated walk-in hours. Walk-in counseling is intended for quick questions and general information—no transcripts, records, etc. Call the Counseling Office or our Project ACCESO office for walk-in designated time slots.

Counseling Appointment

Make a 45 minute appointment with the Learning Support Specialist for assistance with transcript evaluation, career planning, educational plans, etc. Call or stop by the Project ACCESO office to schedule an appointment.

Online Advising

This service is a supplement to our “face-to-face” services for current, new and prospective students. Students can ask a quick question via email and get a response from the Online Counselor within 24 – 48 hours. Click on the following link to access our Online Advising site:  Online Advising.
