Alcohol and Drug Studies 

 

     The Alcohol and Drug Studies Program prepares students to become certified California Addiction Treatment Counselors (CATC).  This program trains students to prepare for jobs in chemical dependency in patient programs, residential treatment facilities, community mental health substance abuse programs, employee assistance, and education and social service positions.  Students also use this certificate and degree to obtain employment in certain law enforcement, drug enforcement, and prison programs.

  

   The ADS degree and certificate programs are 36 units, after completing the classroom education students will take the CATC Exam.  The certification also requires a supervised internship.
