Norma Sierra Galindo was elected to the Imperial Community College District Board of Trustees for Area 5 encompassing the Holtville Unified School District on November 8, 2005, and took office on December 14, 2005.

Her experience is as follows:

  • Lifetime appointment to CADRE (California Schools Education and Law Enforcement Partnership) by Governor and Attorney General of California in 1997
  • Member of the Imperial Irrigation District Energy Consumers Advisory Committee
  • Child Welfare and Attendance Supervisor for Brawley Union High School District from 1989 to 1996
  • Member of IVC’s Bond Oversight Committee
  • Present instructor at Calexico High School and Imperial Valley Regional Occupational Program in Medical Assistant and Business Departments
