After this Spring Semester, Library Technician classes for the next two academic years (2010-11 & 2011-12) have been suspended due to state budget cuts.  We are sorry for the inconvenience this will cause out students and prospective students.

Imperial Valley College and Spencer Library Media Center now offers a Certificate in Library Technician, and a Major in Library Technician. Please click on the program that interests you.

To schedule a class session

Library staff members are happy to conduct general library orientations and course-specific sessions for classes. Training in the use of the online catalog, Reader’s Guide to Periodical Literature, and article databases such as EBSCOhost, ProQuest, and LexisNexis are also available.

Please contact us at least two weeks in advance, so that we will be better able to assist your students by planning staff time and reserving Library Class Room 1502.
