Summer Residential

Summer Residential is help at UCSD for the month of July. Fifty students are chosen from the Upward Bound group to participate in this four week educationally intensive session. Student stay at the UCSD – Revelle Commons dorms and attend classes at different UCSD locations. Students experience life in an post secondary educational environment (Living in a dorm, waking up for classes, doing own laundry, etc.) Each student is paired up with a room mate from one of the other seven  high schools in the Valley.

For their efforts during the Summer Residential Component, Students who earn a passing grade in both Mathematics and English receive 10 high school elective credits towards graduation. In Mathematics, students receive preparation for the course they will be taking during the next school year.
